"Bachmann takes children to the moon with her latest chamber opera"

Bachmann, a former professor, describes her latest composition as a children’s story turned into an opera:

“I wrote it very specifically to be a child’s first opera because I love opera and I love chamber music. In the last two generations there hasn’t been much musical education in the school system and I think they’re missing something really wonderful, so I wanted to open the door into the world of opera and chamber music in an accessible way for small children.”
